The final fixture list for the 2026/27 Eredivisie season has been confirmed. Last week, the provisional schedule was published, featuring the first thirteen matchdays of the new season as well as the final two rounds of the campaign. Since then, six changes have been made at the request of several clubs and local authorities. The remainder of the schedule, covering the period up to January 2027, will be announced in early September.

European adjustments and remaining fixture announcements
Six Dutch clubs will also be competing in European competitions next season: PSV, Feyenoord, N.E.C. Nijmegen, AZ, FC Twente and Ajax. Depending on their performances in Europe, changes may be made to the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie fixture list to better accommodate their international commitments.
At the end of August, it will be determined whether any adjustments are required. If necessary, match dates and/or kick-off times for Matchdays 5 to 12 will be revised in early September. At the same time, the fixtures for Matchdays 13 to 21 will be scheduled definitively.
The exact dates and kick-off times for Matchdays 22 to 32 will be confirmed at the end of December.
Schedule for the remaining fixture announcements
- Early September: Possible adjustments to Matchdays 5–12 due to European competitions, plus confirmation of exact dates and kick-off times for Matchdays 13–21.
- Late December: Confirmation of exact dates and kick-off times for Matchdays 22–32.
Fixture List
The process of creating the fixture list begins as early as October each year. First, FIFA and UEFA finalise the international match calendars, which include international fixtures and European club competitions. In consultation with the authorities and the clubs, the national football calendar is then drawn up, allocating space for the Eredivisie, First Division, Johan Cruyff Shield, KNVB Cup and the play-offs.
A provisional fixture list is then created, taking into account the wishes and constraints of municipalities, clubs, supporters and ESPN, among others. Throughout the process, the schedule is coordinated with all professional football clubs, the Professional Football Competition Board (consisting of the management of Eredivisie CV, Coöperatie Eerste Divisie and the KNVB), ESPN, local authorities, the Central Players Council (CSR), the Central Coaches Council (CTR) and Supporterscollectief Nederland.
