Since 1997, the eighteen Eredivisie clubs have been united within Eredivisie CV. Eredivisie CV is the football organisation responsible for the continued development of the Netherlands’ most impactful football competition.

Our mission

We are the Eredivisie CV, the organisation behind the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. We are responsible for the continued development of the country’s most impactful football competition across all areas: strategic, social, sporting and commercial. We do this on behalf of our clubs, supporters, stakeholders, society and, of course, the Eredivisie.

Our core mission is to create sustainable growth and long-term value for our clubs, supporters, stakeholders and society by:

Supporting the sporting success of our clubs in the Eredivisie and in European club competitions wherever possible;
Maximising the value of our collective rights, both domestically and internationally, to generate sustainable revenues that strengthen clubs and help them remain competitive at national and international level;
Enabling supporters to enjoy football in a unique and engaging way, whether in the stadium, in front of a screen or as passionate followers of the game;
Using the power and reach of football to strengthen its social impact and raise awareness of its positive role among stakeholders and society as a whole.

We do not do this alone. We work closely with the clubs in the Eredivisie and First Division, the Cooperation First Division, the FBO, ESPN and the KNVB, the governing body and organiser of our competitions.

Creating a league where millions of fans, both in the Netherlands and around the world, follow unpredictable matches filled with goals, featuring homegrown young talents developed by our clubs alongside experienced top players from the Netherlands and abroad.
